Klarmann/Weber also won the Ascap award for best Top 10 song on the R&B charts.

Tracie Spencer was Klarmann/Weber's first international success in 1988 released on CAPITOL RECORDS. The highly talented 13 year old girl from Iowa hit the pop / R&B music world with a venegance. In 1987 Germany had a new over night sensation. With her anti drug song "Julian" Mandy Winter became a star all over Germany. She met Klarmann Weber and liked their work so much that she asked them to write more songs for her 1st album. Klarmann/Weber wrote "The fire still burns", "She's sweeter than me" and "Two lovers" for Mandy's 1st album "Julian". "Two Lovers" became Mandy's 2nd hit in Germany.
